There is something so timeless about a Grand Tradition Estate engagement session — the winding brick paths, tucked-away terraces, romantic fountains, and lush tropical gardens. It feels like stepping into a secluded European estate, right here in Southern California.
When these two shared that they’ll be hosting their micro wedding at the Compass Garden before heading to dinner with their closest loved ones, it felt only fitting to document their engagement session at the very place where they’ll soon say “I do.” 🤍

We began their Grand Tradition Estate engagement session on the Arbor Terrace side — one of my favorite hidden pockets of the property. Surrounded by towering palms, layered greenery, and that romantic stone bridge with the cascading waterfall below, it feels intimate, cinematic, and completely tucked away from the world.
This area has such a quiet elegance to it. The soft tropical backdrop paired with their classic black-and-white outfits created a refined, timeless look. They walked hand in hand across the bridge, paused for slow kisses, and shared those effortless, in-between laughs that make a session feel so natural.
It was the perfect way to begin — secluded, romantic, and full of connection.

From there, we wandered down toward the iconic Beverly Mansion side of Grand Tradition Estate. The energy shifted slightly — still romantic, but with that classic estate charm.
We captured portraits by the lake with the gazebo in the distance, strolled along the curved brick pathways, and paused at the fountains where the light filtered beautifully through the trees. The brick staircases, manicured gardens, and European-style architecture add so much variety to a Grand Tradition Estate engagement session.
And of course, their sweet pup joined for part of the session — proudly walking alongside them (in the most adorable bow tie 🥹). Including pets during engagement sessions always adds such a personal touch.

The fountain area near the mansion gave us those classic, timeless portraits — cobblestone underfoot, soft water sounds in the background, and the estate architecture framing them perfectly.
Her dress moved beautifully with every step, and his tailored black suit created the most elegant contrast against the greenery and brick textures. The entire session felt elevated yet completely effortless.

Grand Tradition Estate truly offers so much in one location:
• Lush tropical garden backdrops
• Romantic stone bridges & waterfalls
• Classic brick pathways and staircases
• Lakeside views with gazebo
• Elegant estate architecture
Whether you start on the Arbor Terrace side or near the Beverly Mansion, the property flows beautifully and gives couples a gallery that feels cohesive, refined, and full of variety.

Knowing they’ll soon exchange vows in the Compass Garden makes this engagement session even more meaningful. The same estate that framed their laughter and quiet moments during this session will soon hold their ceremony — intimate, intentional, and surrounded by the people who matter most.
A romantic ceremony, followed by dinner with loved ones.
Simple. Elevated. Full of heart.
If you’re planning a Grand Tradition Estate engagement or a micro wedding at Compass Garden, I would absolutely love to document it. This venue is timeless, romantic, and endlessly inspiring — and it photographs beautifully in every season. 🤍✨ Contact Paige
