We started the day tucked away in the garden, where the couple shared a quiet first look beside the tiered fountain (hello, fairytale vibes). It was one of those slow, intentional moments where time feels like it pauses—just the two of them, wrapped in excitement and love.
Ceremony goals? Achieved. With the Pacific Ocean in the distance and a soft breeze rolling through the lawn, their vows felt extra cinematic. The floral arch, ocean backdrop, and golden hour light came together perfectly for a dreamy “I do” moment.
After the ceremony, we wandered through The Thursday Club’s garden paths and quiet corners for portraits. There’s something about this venue that makes every photo feel relaxed and timeless. We stopped under the vine-covered archway and on a tucked-away stone bench that made their love feel like it was lifted right out of a storybook.
This venue is such a hidden gem in San Diego. You get garden romance, ocean views, and a reception space with character—all in one spot. As a photographer, I love how natural everything feels here. There’s always gorgeous light, so many unique photo locations, and couples always feel right at home.
Inside the historic Spanish-style clubhouse, guests were welcomed with warm string lights and vintage charm. Their first dance? Pure joy. Everyone was on their feet, and the energy in the room was something you could feel. These are the kinds of receptions I never want to leave.
If you’re getting married at The Thursday Club and looking for a photographer who’s not just familiar with the venue but also knows how to capture the in-between moments, the golden hour glow, and everything in between—I’d love to hear all about your plans.
