There are weddings… and then there are weddings that feel like stepping straight into a cinematic universe. This Yellowstone-inspired celebration at a Southern California ranch was absolutely one of those days—where the sun hits just right, the earth tones feel rich and warm, and every moment feels slow, intentional, and deeply rooted in the couple’s love story.
Photographing this day on a hybrid mix of digital and 35mm film brought out every ounce of that nostalgic, Western-romance magic. The softness of film paired with the crisp emotion of digital was the perfect way to honor their vision: timeless, earthy, and effortlessly romantic.
The Inspiration: Yellowstone Meets Southern California
From the moment I arrived at the ranch, I could feel the atmosphere they were dreaming of—open land, golden light, sweeping views, and a calmness you can only find away from the city.
The groom wore an all-black suit topped with a classic cowboy hat (the perfect nod to Yellowstone’s iconic style), while the bride wore the most stunning off-the-shoulder gown with delicate lace sleeves and a long, flowing veil that caught the sun beautifully on film. Together, they looked like they were straight out of a Western love story.
The color palette stayed soft and organic—whites, creams, eucalyptus greens—paired with the warm textures of the ranch. Truly a blend of elegance and country soul.

The grain, the sun flares, the warmth… it all feels handcrafted and rooted in emotion.
