From the garden ceremony to a candlelit reception under the stars at the iconic Humphreys by the Bay concert grounds, every part of this celebration was full of joy, energy, and the kind of love that fills an entire room. And with over 250 guests, live music moments, and florals absolutely everywhere… this wedding was truly something special!
An Iconic San Diego Wedding Venue on Shelter Island
Humphreys Half Moon Inn is such a unique wedding venue because it feels like a little coastal escape right in the heart of San Diego. Located on Shelter Island, it’s one of those places that’s instantly recognizable. It’s classic San Diego with waterfront views and tropical gardens. It was absolutely perfect for a celebration this big and beautiful!
Tessa and Jamie completely took over the resort for the weekend, and it made the entire day feel like a destination wedding without ever leaving San Diego.
The Dream Vendor Team (Holly Kalkin + KO Floral)
This day also included some of my absolute favorite vendor humans. Working with Holly Kalkin is always such a highlight. She brings so much calm, organization, and heart to every wedding she touches.
And the florals… WOW. KO Floral transformed the entire venue into something straight out of a movie. The spaces were dripping in blooms, surrounded by hundreds of candles, and every corner felt romantic and elevated in the most stunning way.
A Garden Ceremony Full of Emotion
The ceremony took place in the gardens surrounded by so much greenery and love.
Tessa and Jamie’s connection is so genuine, and you could feel it in every moment. Everyone was fully present, smiling, tearing up, and soaking it all in. Those are always my favorite kinds of wedding days… the ones that feel deeply joyful and deeply real.
A Reception at Humphreys by the Bay
After the ceremony, the celebration moved to one of the most iconic reception spaces in San Diego…the open-air concert grounds at Humphreys by the Bay! And it was absolutely next-level.
Multiple lounge areas, candlelight everywhere, dessert bars, and even In-N-Out for an after-dinner snack (which honestly might be the best wedding decision ever).
But one of the most unforgettable moments was live music on the famous Humphreys concert stage… and Jamie actually got up and sang a song. It was such a fun, personal surprise and had the entire crowd cheering. Truly the kind of wedding moment you never forget.
